Tire Woes Befall ALL50 — More C5 Bash Activities
A day trip from Bowling Green to one of the natural wonders of Kentucky — with an unwelcome mechanical surprise.
Ray, Denny, and Chris took a day trip from Bowling Green to Mammoth Cave National Park — one of the great natural wonders of Kentucky and the world's longest known cave system.
Mammoth Cave has more than 400 miles of surveyed passageways, formed over millions of years as slightly acidic groundwater dissolved the limestone bedrock. The cave system includes massive chambers, underground rivers, and formations of every description. It's been a tourist destination since the early 1800s.
The day trip was a success — but the ALL50 Z06 had other ideas. Tire woes struck the car during the Bowling Green activities, adding an unplanned mechanical chapter to the C5 Bash story.
It was a reminder that even the most reliable car in the world — a Z06 that had covered 22,796 miles across all 50 states without a serious mechanical issue — could have a bad day. Tires were sorted, and the Bash continued.
